That fucking sucks...younger than all (or most) of us
smart for both tbh
yeah i don’t see a downside for either. chiefs get a tackle they need that’ll be better than anyone they could draft that late, minor ding to the ravens losing their starting tackle but they add a first rounder as an extra pick, or can package both picks to trade up, or whatever. still a good trade
Sounds like Atlanta (4), Detroit (7), Carolina (8) are all legit trade back candidates
Hopefully Cincy takes Chase, Detroit trades to a QB team, and Carolina gets Sewell woo
i think the falcons are stuck where they are atm. why would a team need to move ahead of cinci to get a qb. just wait to trade with miami or detriot and save draft capital
cinci never trade in the draft, they've stood and picked every 1st round pick since 1989. they're kinda like gettleman like that. some teams and gms just never move. i'd have no fear of cinci doing anything except picking sewell, chase, or pitts
that's why most insiders believe sf is going to be taking big sexy at 3. they feared the panthers moving up for him and took it out of the equation completely
i just dont believe nfl teams with million dollar scouting departments dont know that cinci never trade when my zero dollar scouting department knows this
if you want to hear some nfc east rumour goofiness the iggles have been making calls to carolina to potentially move ahead of the boys and steal their cornerback. in response the boys have made calls to detriot to move ahead of where the iggles are willing to move up and take the corner they want at 7 instead
on actual draft day neither of these things will happen but i appreciate the pettiness of the situation and give your division rival as many middle fingers as possible
From what I've been reading, Carolina is all over the place
QB is in play. Sewell if he drops. Pitts if he drops. Chase if he drops. One of the CBs. Slater. Trade down.
All of those options are in play
It's one more reason I like this crew. They're not going to eliminate taking a QB just because they got Darnold. All options on the table all the time.
What if one of the big QBs falls to them? Why not grab him on a rookie contract and have him and Darnold Duke it out.
