i firmly believe that the panthers traded for darnold in the first place because they thought the niners moved up for big sexy, however if the niners take lance instead rhule & brady would be ecstatic to grab the dude they fell in love with at the senior bowl

i'd bet a shiny dollar the panthers board is: lawrence/wilson/big sexy/pitts/sewell/chase/slater/surtain, and they just take whichever guy is highest on that list. one of those dudes will be there at 8 however if they're forced to go surtain i'm betting they wouldn't be doing jumping jacks since they went all defense last year, hence trade down in the mix

its like if chase is the only guy left on the cowboys 7 man board (since 3 qbs are guaranteed to go in the top 10). they'd take chase if they had to but they'd probably rather trade out of there

That’s the only person I’ve seen say Carolina likes Jones. Everything I’ve seen, from the panthers writers, says Jones is not their plan at all

dane brugler, another person who was physically at the senior bowl, says the same. the organization putting out they don't want him doesn't mean anything, of course they'd hide that. they'd be stupid to put out their intentions lol. you also have to consider that mccorkle was considered a 2nd rounder up until he went to the senior bowl. he didn't skyrocket up the boards until then

the same thing happened with dak presgod and jason garrett. dak wouldn't even be on this team, and might have been undrafted completely, if the clapper didn't coach the senior bowl in 2016. jerry wanted nothing to do with him. dak and jameill showers were fighting it out for the back up job and jameill was considered the favourite by everyone not named jason garrett. it took jameill, and eventually romo, having injuries just for dak to get pre-season playing time

Since its draft week I'm gonna put up my final two mock drafts that I believe are the most likely ways this will happen. One will be a mock where I piss off Niners fans and one will be a mock where I piss off Panthers fans.

Gregory Rousseau was a dude that many had mocked to the gmen months ago... now he probably won't even be drafted in the first round 'cause his pro day was fucking laughably bad

Slater on the other hand had an amazing pro day. That dude did like 40 bench reps. I think he's safe and if Garrett has any say in the pick at all Slater is the most Jason Garrett pick you'll ever find... which is a good thing 'cause Garrett is actually a really good offensive line talent evaluator. He personally chose all the dudes over here and two of them are going to the hof

i am starting to believe davonte will not get past the eagles, and im starting to convince myself he will be good (waddle too)

this is really just an evaluation year for the eagles. no one expects them to do anything, so the new coaching staff can see what they have and then address issues with their 3 first round/4 picks in the first two rounds next year

the problem will be roseman making the picks
