Why can't the 49ers trade them Lance?
Why can't the 49ers trade them Lance?
'cause it's gonna cost more than lance and they have no 1st rounders anymore
denver could trade them bridgewater/lock/surtain/two 1st rounders, and the niners simply can't compete with that
a lot of people seem to think all the accusers are going to settle before the season starts so i'm not sure what the nfl would suspend him for if that happens... mind you they suspended zeke for nothing so who knows
That's right, they are out of firsts. I think LaFleur knows they can't win shit with Bridgewater/Lock though and that front office will likely need immediate results to prevent a full on revolt. Lance + 2nds could get it done if Rodgers simply won't show up period.
if immediate results are what's important bridgewater in the year 2021 will be a better qb than lance. all rookie qbs suck
If the Pack trot out Teddy Bridgewater as the 2021 starter, half the front office / staff won't be around for 2022. They would sooner cross their fingers on Lance and pray he succeeds.
If Jordan Love is remotely not a bust, they should just get every possible asset they can from Rodgers and start him...with Bridgewater or something as the clear backup.
i mean, the other reason the niners wouldn’t trade lance is because i imagine the packers wouldn’t want him? they already have an unproven first round pick on the bench
exactly. they have their own lance already lol
Lance will probably start week 1. Did Love even dress out a single game as the #2/#3 last year? I don't believe so. The Packers could very much just think Love has no shot and want to make a move.
Yeah Lance and Love are not comparable assets - aside from the fact that Lance was an early 1st and Love debatably didn't even have a 1st round grade, Love has lost value from never playing and clearly the Pack are not impressed after a year with him
I'd much rather have a Lance package than mediocre QBs and late first round picks

I don't think its going to happen, but just thinking through every possible scenario:
1. Rodgers comes back and the GM isn't fired: Rodgers looks like a bitch (not fucking happening)
2. Rodgers comes back and gets the GM fired: Unlikely given the Packers don't have a real owner to pull this trigger
3. Rodgers is traded to the Raiders for Carr+.
4. Rodgers is traded to the Panthers for ?
5. Rodgers is traded to the 49ers for Lance+
6. Rodgers is traded to the Broncos for QB(s)+
even if lance has a full nfl season he'll still have had less games played and pass attempts than love does. i dont think yall understand how truly green lance as a prospect is. his talent could be amazing but he's literally the most raw 1st round qb prospect we've ever seen. people keep calling him josh allen but allen had double the amount of college games played and pass attempts as lance has had... and it still took allen till year three to become good. year 1 allen was fucking terrible lol
Right but all that matters is his "value" in the eyes of decision-makers. Agree it doesn't make sense if the Packers are trying to sell a playoff berth to fans this year, but otherwise one of his main selling points is his perceived high ceiling that hasn't been sullied by any bad NFL playing time yet. The unknown is what makes him appealing
I still can't believe Josh Allen became good

if lance becomes a real thing black white cam might have to become his nickname
the packers were a couple dumb plays away from playing in the super bowl last year. it would be weird to just blow it up for a rookie qb, again, when you already have a young qb on the roster. if they’re gonna trade rodgers the most sense of the suspected teams would be carr, and if he sucks you can make the swap to love. besides, gruden already hates carr and draft picks, package carr and a first next year along with whatever other bells and whistles make it work
also the 49ers already traded away multiple firsts for lance lol
he ain’t the one getting shipped out already
anyway when anyone else sees WFT do they read it as WTF and assume that would be a better name
yes, every single time
also if turd ferguson went to the raiders he'd win less games than he does now. rip
that’s true of basically any team he gets traded to based on the rumors (except possibly 49ers, but still a tougher division)
if i was turd i'd want to go to the browns as weird as that sounds. of all the 2020 playoff teams, the browns path to winning the division is easiest if he went there and the roster is amazing (coach of the year, #1 oline, top 10 dline, top 10 secondary, etc). plus baker is a decent trade piece to the pack
turd going to the browns or wft would immediately be shoe-ins to head a conference championship game vs mahomes or bardy. find a way to get julio too and that shits a wrap
