I haven't looked at the bill, but let me guess. It is just another wealth grab as tax dollar are thrown down the drain as "incentives". In the delusional hopes that private enterprise finds enough profit to choose it is worth inefficiently lead the way. Rather than the government lead the way or have any real climate action?

Going to guess they certainly didn't look at even updating the Depression era subsidies, land usage, or any number of fucking nonsense going on by private enterprise.

Bit hard to have climate action with "electrification" when the majority of these cunts voted down BBB. Seeing as it focused a portion of it to the expansion and improvement of transmission lines. Which are one of the largest limiting factors in improving the grid in any fashion let alone making it greener.

I am always willing to admit mistakes, and frankly enjoy doing so. However, that doesn't mean the wind suddenly is blowing another way. Let alone not up our asses. Looks like they removed the per manufacturer vehicle cap, and the new credit regime begins Jan 1st 2023 until the end of 2032.

GM, Toyota and Tesla would be back in the mix (although most Teslas are too expensive right now to qualify other than the non-performance Model Y I believe)

Also starting in 2024 I believe there's a "made in America" percentage for a vehicle to qualify, starting at 40% and increasing to 100% by 2028.

Not sure if any car is "100% American made" anymore so not sure how that will work.

No "union made" booster in this bill as far as I can tell.
