Those are not equivalent statements.It be more apt to compare that to if the baker had everything made, frozen, and shipped in from overseas, and then they just put it in the oven.
Point is though, if nearly every component to the bread or car is imported in an intentional outsourcing. Rather than due to a lack of availability domestically. Then yeah, it's not fucking "Made in the USA." Which also manipulates the consumer.

It's bullshit that the industrial capacity of the nation can be entirely gutted to make a buck. Meanwhile these same last mile only employers stateside get cut all the slack in the world to double down on profit even further. Any level of exploitation is justified as a need to be competitive. I mean, I own a truck because it's far more practical for me, I can use it to haul my tools around easily and I can pull a trailer with it that I wouldn't be able to with a car.
That being said I do agree that random Joe's who don't NEED a truck in their day to day life probably don't need to buy one.
