So basically the logic of this whole puzzle is

Biden says they have a deal - meaning they have 10 Rs. Now, of course, this infrastructure deal is a dogshit compromise that normally left-leaning senators would shoot down. However, with Pelosi saying "no bipartisan deal without a reconciliation bill" it allows those Dem Senators to bite the bullet and vote yes, knowing they can get a bunch of stuff they want in the reconciliation bill. Normally you'd have to fear Manchin on reconciliation, but just yesterday he said he wants to do it - basically daring other conservative Dem senator shitheads like Sinema and Mark Warner to torpedo it (and the bipartisan infrastructure bill they like in the process).

This is an attempt at legislative log-rolling with the slimmest possible margin (not to mention Pelosi only having a 4 vote majority on her side as well), and if Biden pulls it off I am going to be extremely fucking impressed.

My biggest fear is that Pelosi's demand will make some of the 10 Republican Senators see that this might work and get cold feet. I have a hard time believing they are going to be hoodwinked into giving Biden a win and then another reconciliation win.
