He made promises about infrastructure during the campaign, then used it as a carrot to try to get the democrats to back off of him, and when they understandably told him to go fuck himself, he refused to touch infrastructure for the rest of his presidency. Like the petulant man-child that he is.

Pelosi is holding the bill hostage to exert maximum leverage on convincing all Senate Dems to pass the $3.5 trillion reconciliation monstrosity. House progressives refuse to pass the bipartisan, and desperately needed, infrastructure bill if they don't get the intensely partisan reconciliation bill as well. typical shitheel Washington politics, Dems continue to use McConnell as a role-model.
