Nah I think the yacht plays into it 100%. We didnt pay for the yacht but it's clearly showing a disconnect between the American people and this government rep to have him telling folks "yeah no I can't really help you guys out, sorrrrrrrrY" while standing aboard his yacht. This same person who's voted how many times to up military spending? Buuuut an extra 2T for the American people??? WHOA CALM DOWN THERE

truly the smoothest of brain takes to argue he's already a Republican, and consistently fail to recognize that while Democrats in red states cannot be as liberal as you'd like them to be and get elected, they are nevertheless far more liberal than their Republican rivals would be. when Manchin dies or retires and an actual West Virginian Republican takes his seat come back to the man's record and see the difference in how they voted.

In fairness there's at least somewhat credible theory that both of them cheated. McConnell probably wouldn't have lost regardless though.
