I'm glad more effort is put into this shit and getting crazy bent on not using proper pronouns when you first meet someone instead of legit concerns. Left is amazing at just fucking eating itself and virtue signaling.

Have you ever seen anyone getting crazy bent out of shape when the wrong pronouns are being used upon first meeting in your daily life? Cause I can tell you I've seen more people flip out and say I don't use pronouns or what do I look like when they're asked their pronouns. It's just a small thing of compassion, like hey I see you.

It definitely feels like there's more coverage on push back and people getting upset over these terms than actual usage of the terms themselves. Feels like when that one radio station in rural Ohio stopped playing Baby It's Cold Outside then it blew up into this massive thing.

My debaters have lost rounds because someone will flip out and say my pronouns are they them.

Last weekend we had a round where one of my teams ran Edelman to argue that extinction based narratives was a heteronormative standard because it was child centric and placed inherently higher value on those who were reproductively fruitful. Their opponent said that since she was trans it was offensive to allege her arguments were heteronormative and asked for us to be disqualified.

On the US Arms Sales topic, the best argument I cut was that instead of reducing arms sales to Taiwan/Japan to reduce tensions with China we should make Japan a full fledged F-35 production partner to replace Turkey in order to establish air superiority in the ECS/SCS.

There's nothing wrong with preferring a SFH at certain points in your life.

The problem is making apartment buildings illegal, as they are in the vast majority of residential zoned land.

I've never in my adult life lived in a SFH that wasn't adjacent to an apartment building.

What is the impact of short term rentals and vacation homes and homes as an investment that are not rented out on the housing market? I remember reading about ultra wealthy nationals dumping tons of money into buying apartments and condos in Toronto and just leaving them empty because they just needed ways to sink their money into something for tax purposes. This meant in a city with more than enough housing for everyone who actually lived there a housing crisis was happening. I have read about other examples like that in both rural areas (like where I live where most of the houses on my road are empty) and in areas with more dense housing.
