Sunshine Protection Act. Wow.
oh, of course the name came from Florida
It’s going to be something we tell our grandkids about one day, how we used to switch our worlds back one hour in the fall and ahead one hour in the spring, and they’ll say “WTF gramps? Why?” and we won’t have a good answer
All people with kids rejoice. Time changes suck balls.
I'd rather have it permanently active then gone, I like seeing the sun after 5PM.
Pro's and con's to either. It is ridiculously hard to get the kids up and out of bed when its still dark outside and equally challenging to get them to bed when it is still light outside. I think I would rather have it be lighter later though that gives me time to go for a walk after work and get some chores done. Either one ultimately is fine by me as long as it doesn't change. The changing is what is the most problematic.
It's actually more beneficial nowadays to have a later sunset. California would be suffering from a worse Energy Duck Curve if Standard Time was year-round. Huray for solar though.
Passed unanimously too
all i know is i never changed my clocks before so its about time the country caught up to me
Fucking finally. The only reason why BC hasn't done this yet is because the gov wanted to wait for Cali, Oregon and Washington state to do it first
Amazed to see that this Congress stood up to the greatest tyrant we've ever faced.
The ghost of Benjamin Franklin.

Hot take with a large side of "/s" - All those PSAs to change your smoke alarm batteries when you change your clocks are now going to be pointless. Fire deaths are going to rise because of dead smoke alarms.
My smoke alarm is wired into the wall and I disconnected it because it would go off every time I used the stove. The building has its own fire alarm, if there's something serious I'll hear it.

Maybe don't be a sloppy cook. Also use high-heat oils when frying to reduce smoke.
