No one here is suggesting anyone should take that kind of action. Most of us—if not all—wouldn't condone it, but we can understand it. It’s not surprising because the reason is clear. They don’t even need to find this person and bring them in alive for everyone to know why they acted that way. It’s likely because he or someone he loves is dying or dead due to the decisions made by that CEO and others like him.
I can’t remember where I heard it, but someone once said, “Everyone is just nine meals away from violence.” Nine meals away from stealing, harming, or even killing. Meanwhile, the wealthy continue to drain every last dime from the middle class and lower-income people while using their billions to dismantle social programs—the very programs that help ensure those nine meals are still within reach.
I’m bracing for the moment when those on the right finally succeed in gutting these programs because I know they’re the only things keeping the wealthy safe. If those safety nets disappear, chaos will begin within days of the food or assistance running out. You can’t force people to accept wages that don’t feed their families, strip away their ability to choose whether or not to have children, and still expect the system to hold forever.
Eventually, the bill comes due.
