No one is harping on that here, the problem is that his dumb ass had no business being there and used legal loopholes with the intent of being able to legally kill people if it came to it. Which is what happened.

It's like the Simpsons episode with Sideshow Bob firing a gun in one state, the bullet crosses another, hits Bart in another, and he falls into another where he dies, and he explains that no one act is illegal in each state it occurs in, therefore he's not culpable for murder.

This is incorrect. Technically there was a crime of fraud in the purchase of the gun. Kyle could not buy it because he was too young. He had his friend buy it for him, with full knowledge of this fact. That's fraud. In fact, it in theory could be a RICO violation as well.

Lubbock Police Officers were called to the 2100 block of 90th Street on Friday, November 5th at 4:20 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found 54-year-old Chad Read deceased on the scene.

Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears there was a verbal altercation between Read and another male related to a domestic incident that turned physical. Shortly after, shots were fired.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is on-going.
