I know people gonna say I'm wrong, but fuck this "not going to do anything until it's MY way" shit both sides are playing. I want:

-Metal detectors at every school
-All schools to have locks that require a buzzer, guard, etc. to open.
-Police to be replaced by national guard. Allow a 5-10 idgafhowlong period for the NG to train any police officer who wants to switch over. Requires active duty.
-Fund mental support personnel at every school at a 1-to-20 ratio cap.
-Stricter gun laws
--Better ENFORCED gun laws

Fuck it all. I keep crying over this shit. Everyone wants to give a voice, but ignores what those involved actually want, and it's fucking disgusting. No we don't want teachers to have guns. No, we don't fucking care that metal detectors are a ban-aid solution. We just want to be safe, and we want our kids (both bio and students) to be safe, without having this all on us.

I have lost it, too, because it's become a big convo in my city that apparently all schools have to have one gate unlocked in case kids have to escape to a fire. So what's the point? Fuck man. We had a shooting at a HS here ~5 years ago. A HS, btw, my kids will eventually go to. The kids there protested today, and you had shithead adults upset because MA2AFEEFEEDOMS. Fuck. This. Gonna take too many children's deaths while we wait for real gun reform. We NEED those other solutions until 500 years form now when somethings fucking finally done about it.

It's just so sad.
