10 injured and three officers hurt at a house party in Charleston, SC.

Police said gunfire erupted late Monday night when an officer was responding to a noise complaint about a loud party at a vacant lot. Someone shot twice into an arriving police car, authorities said.

Charleston news outlets showed surveillance video of people scrambling for cover as sporadic gunfire is heard. Reynolds told news outlets more than 100 evidence placards were placed at the scene, with many of those marking where shell casings were found.

Reynolds said four people were critically injured. He said the officer was not shot but injured by shrapnel from the glass and two deputies from the sheriff’s department were injured as they tried to control the crowd.

Six injured in Chattanooga, TN.

Six teenagers were shot and wounded, two critically, Saturday night when multiple people opened fire in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, during a confrontation between two large groups of young people, authorities said.

Police Chief Celeste Murphy said all six victims who were struck by gunfire were teenagers. She said four of the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and two remain "very, very critical."

Police said early Monday that two victims were 15-year-old girls, while three 15-year-old boys and one 13-year-old boy were also shot.

Two dead and two injured in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia.

According to police, the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. on Monday in the area of the 3000 block of E Tioga Street for a report of multiple gunshots.

Authorities say when officers from the 24th District arrived, they found a large group of people who gathered for a Memorial Day event.

Officials say four victims were found on scene, including a 14-year-old with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and a 21-year-old who was shot multiple times in the leg.

A 16-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in the gunfire and they were both pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.

Authorities also say 47 spent shell casings were found at the crime scene leading them to believe there were multiple shooters and multiple weapons.

One dead and seven injured at a festival in Taft, OK.

An arrest warrant was issued for Skyler Buckner and he turned himself in to the Muskogee County sheriff’s office Sunday afternoon, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a statement. OSBI said that those shot at the Memorial Day event in Taft, located about 45 miles (72 kilometers) southeast of Tulsa, ranged in age from 9 to 56.

A 39-year-old woman was killed, OSBI said. The injuries of those wounded were considered non-life-threatening.

Witnesses said an argument preceded the gunfire just after midnight, the agency said.

“We heard a lot of shots and we thought it was firecrackers at first,” said Sylvia Wilson, an owner of Taft’s Boots Cafe, which was open at the time to serve a surge of visitors to the small town for the gathering. “Then people start running and ducking. And we were yelling at everyone... ’Get down! Get down!” Wilson said to The Associated Press by telephone from the café on Sunday morning.

One dead and six injured in Benton Harbor, MI.

The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety reported that officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Pipestone Street at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday for a shooting that killed one person and injured six other people.

Officials say that officers observed a large number of people at Ajay’s Lounge and the A & D Liquor store upon arriving to the scene of the shooting.

Upon an initial investigation, officers reported that shell casings found at the scene of the shooting were comprised of various calibers.

Officials say that one victim, 19-year-old Marlon Bowman, was pronounced deceased after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

Witnesses tell ABC57 that a fight broke out before the shooting due to an argument concerning a ticketed event scheduled for Ajay’s Lounge.

Six injured at a graduation party in Anniston, AL.

Police said the shooting happened at 1204 Front Street and over 150 people between the ages of 14 and 20 were in attendance.

Police said that none of the injuries were life-threatening. At least one other person was injured from fleeing the scene, and those injuries were also not life-threatening.

Multiple vehicles were hit by stray bullets and police said they are still receiving reports about those instances.

Police said dozens of shell casings and several firearms were recovered from the scene and are being submitted for processing.

Four dead in Mecosta County, MI.

Police say that they responded to a call of shots fired at an address on 180th Ave near Johnson Road in Austin Township around 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they said they found three children and one adult dead from gunshot wounds.

The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office said that the three children were siblings and have been identified as 6-year-old Katelynn Gillard, 4-year-old Ronald Gillard and 3-year-old Joshua Gillard. The other victim was identified as their mother, 40-year-old Dawn Gillard.

Police say they believe that a 51-year-old male, the father and husband of the victims, was behind the killings. The 51-year-old male is said to have turned the gun on himself and sustained a gunshot wound to his head.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and later transferred two times to different area hospitals where he is currently in critical condition for his injuries.

There's several questions there: Why was the door propped open? Why did it need to be propped open? Why didn't it lock properly?

All of these would be mostly moot if the shooter didn't have an AR, but these are valid questions when it seems there's been a push for "one entry point" for schools. My guess? Ventilation sucks.

The teacher originally opened it go get something from her car. Im guessing the door usually do automatically lock, and that's why she propped it open, so she didn't have to go around the school to get back in? I'm sure many people have done something similar in other work places or schools.

Four dead plus shooter. They still haven't released a number on how many wounded.

It was unclear what prompted the deadly assault. However, the unidentified gunman carried both a handgun and a rifle during the attack, Police Department Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish said.

Police responded to the call three minutes after dispatchers received the report and made contact with the gunman one minute later, Dalgleish said.

Police Capt. Richard Meulenberg also said multiple people were wounded and that the medical complex was a “catastrophic scene.”

Shooter's death was a suicide. They haven't been able to identify him, but say he appeared to be between 35 and 40 years old.
