A man shot two females to death and then apparently killed himself Thursday night outside a church in Ames, authorities said.
The man killed the two females outside the Cornerstone Church, a megachurch on the outskirts of Ames, Story County Sheriff's Office Capt. Nicholas Lennie told the Des Moines Register. Investigators didn't know the ages of those killed, Lennie said.
The shooter appeared to have then shot himself but his death is still being investigated, Lennie said.
In 2021, Iowa's governor signed a law in which a permit is no longer required to purchase or carry handguns in the State of Iowa.

When someone on the right gets balls, they then become un-electable (for their side), so the right isn't changing any time soon.

Well that's incredibly dumb and shortsighted.

Hit by fleeing cars? Sounds like we need to look into restricting access to cars and instituting some sort of test before you're allowed to drive them.
It's fucking insane how commonplace this is, if an event like Sandyhook or Ulvade happened in another country it would be a major major event. I believe it was Australia that after a single crazy shooting just went through with gun restrictions? Yet we have people openly stating now that the reason they need guns isn't just the "need it for hunting and home protection!" like back in the day but "We need it to overthrow the government when it gets too liberal!". they just leave out the "too liberal" part currently for now.
