I'm sure a college student is writing a paper on that somewhere. Otherwise, I would imagine no one here has the proper background in the prison industry. I'd also imagine certain states are more strict than others. NY might care, but MS, AR, AL, or LA might not give a damn. Shit, they bake prisoners down there and don't even have to provide AC.

Though that place has pretty much gone to shit with the inmates quite literally running the asylum as the deputies just don't give a shit till something gets violent, otherwise they are happy to just chill in their offices and browse Facebook and TikTok

I'd just leave a note saying to send a memo to their commander explaining why they broke security protocol and it would be released back to them. Not a single one took that offer.
