That is scary as heck. I did a lot of IT work for an addition treatment clinic and the staff there are some of the nicest people I have helped out with IT stuff. I can't imagine something like that happening to them. Would really suck. I am glad no one got seriously hurt.

That was his third option. The first two failed. The first was to open the door and GTFO (what you are trained to do); the second was to jump the counter and escape (also what you are trained to do). The final option was fight. He's incredibly lucky the dude didn't seem intent on shooting him, but he's no less brave and badass for pulling off the "fight" part of fight or flight once "flight" failed.
