Was sitting at home playing HOTS and heard a loud ass bang outside and car alarms start going, immediate thought was "Whelp cool, someone just got shot outside my house"....fucking hell this country. Amazing watching videos of Americans in other countries who react to loud noises while the other people around them are like "You ok bro?"
Love that gaslighting. "The problem is Democrats and black people".
What? Literally what?

what in the fuck
What in the fuck, and he's still alive?!
Nothing new for us.
Those are fun past times, this one is not
.
The fact that this kid is still alive is the only thing about this that heartens me. They keep talking about "we need a statement from the victim!" as their fucking justification not to lock this fucker up. I hope with everything that I have that this kid recovers enough to give them a fucking statement, alright.
You know the system is fucked and broken when the homeowners biggest mistake was not making sure the kid was dead and that is the only reason why there is a chance he will face consequences for his actions. That story just breaks my heart. I fucking hate that this happened.
.
We need discrete cutoffs to make it simpler to apply laws, but our law focuses overly much on the alive or dead distinction. If you get shot in the head, you are probably broken in ten different ways for life. The kid that knocked on that door is functionally dead and, assuming he pulls through, someone else is going to live the rest of his life for him. Criminal penalties should reflect that.
I think we should skip the normal criminal justice process in this case and just let the kid's aunt decide what happens to the shooter. She seems to know what's up and the facts of the case are not in dispute.
Sometimes I feel like cruel and unusual punishments should be a thing when it's obvious the criminal has done some ghastly shit.
