The Rockies played in the snow today.
Also, Mickey Moniak of the Phillies hit the first HR of his career and a baby tried to eat it.

That's awesome
Holy shit.
Nine men go to a doctor in Cleveland. All have the same symptoms; they say they’re depressed. They say life seems harsh and cruel without dongers. They say they feel all alone in a dongerless world where what lies ahead is vague and dongerless. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great donger-hitters, The New York Yankees, are in town tonight. Go and see them hit dongers. That should pick you up." The men burst into tears. “But doctor.. we are the New York Yankees.”
Here's the ending of the A's game yesterday. I don't think I've ever seen something like this where a team scores 3 runs without recording a single hit in the entire inning. This was straight out of little league type play.

So seems like the A's want to fully self finance their proposed stadium at Howard Terminal.
Can't wait to see how the city fucks it up since there's seems be basically zero negatives from what the A's are suggesting.
Spoiler: show
The affordable housing part is kinda hilarious though.
I used to live in Jack London Square within walking distance of where they're proposing the new park, and I can't even imagine how much higher the prices will be for that area or any of the other new apartments they might put up.
I could see residents in that area complaining about all the increased traffic on top of the very likely rising housing prices, though that would be drowned out by the restaurants and whatnot in Jack London absolutely loving how much more revenue it brings.
I wouldn't be so much worried about the City of Oakland as I would of Alameda County as a whole. My late father would go off on so many tangents about how the Oakland Coliseum was self sufficient until the county decided they wanted a bigger piece of the pie, gained partial ownership and began fucking everything up for the Warriors/Raiders/A's.
If the A's are really gonna self finance I don't think Alameda County has a huge amount of say in the matter, it's just a matter of Oakland approving the construction.
The Black Hole and the Arena was always owned by Oakland and Alameda County, which was where all the issues arose. And the location here poses less issues then it did when the Warriors were negotiating with San Fran about the Chase Center.
Just got reminded today in 1999 is the day Fernando Tatis hit two grand slams in the same inning against the Dodgers. Figured some of you would enjoy that.
You would be correct.
Fuck the Dodgers
Aye aye, fuck the Dodgers.
DeGrom had a good night..
The dude is unreal.
Why couldn't he pitch that night the Cubs walloped the Mets 16-4.
