I don't know. I think back then it was also too early to tell. But when the collective MLB batting average is so low, you have to go back to the deadball era for when it was last this low going into June, they may push the panic button.

How do you regulate it though? Only certain substances are permissible? Its not like you cant test the substance on the fly.

Gausman is just going to have to accept he's just the best pitcher not named Jacob DeGrom. Any other year, he'd be getting cy young award chatter. 10k's today in 7 innings, and has only had one start this year where he's given up more than 2 runs.
