    My predictions for Nintendo:

    Smash roster reveal
    Something with Pokémon
    Something with Mario
Breath of the Wild 2 update
    Indie games
    Donkey Kong?
And an announcement that there will never be a Switch Pro and we were fools for believing rumors.

Well unless Bandai Namco has something mind-blowing I would say Nintendo wins E3, although this year that's basically because they had legs in a wheelchair race.

Nintendo presentation sucks unless they can prove Metroid isn't vaporware lol.

Nothing they showed for Zelda excited me, especially that botw2 trailer which looks no different than the last one; and they're only hoping it's out in 2022? Yikes.

Pretty lackluster E3 overall. Limited Run Games had the best show, but Nintendo probably had the best games, even though they often delay them or they're just remasters of old games we've played already. That advanced wars remaster is NOT what I wanted, and if they were gonna go through that effort they should just make a new one after all this time .

If you're subscribed to Gamepass (regardless of if you own a Xbox Series X or not) I feel like Microsoft was the best in show, plenty of games out later this year or next year that you won't have to pay extra for.

And if you're not subscribed to Gamepass and own a decent PC or Xbox then like... wut

Given the challenges of the entire industry over the past year a lackluster E3 was a given, but I would say Nintendo did the best job. Plenty of new stuff to talk about, a few surprises, a Smash reveal which everyone loves, and a huge slate of games. Letdown in terms of what was wanted but probably about what should have been expected.

I was expecting more Halo news, so only showing a multiplayer trailer was a pretty big strike against Microsoft's show for me.

Probably a bit more because the game is supposed to be out in five or six months..

I'm a little surprised that story snippet they showed hasn't been uploaded.

Metroid? Sure. It's a good thing Nintendo fans seem to love ports, remasters, and full priced lower budget games so much. reaction from them was hilarious.

An absolutely lackluster E3 across the board. Incredibly underwhelming Direct.

Really interested in seeing how Metroid Dread comes along cause at first I thought I was looking at alpha footage or something cause the details seemed off, but nope it seems this is what the game looks like I guess. Whatevs, day 1 either way of course lol.

I will never understand the amount of excitement nintendrones have for paying $60 for a game they’ve already played 10+ years ago.

I could probably guess the E3 lineup for Nintendo for the next decade and be somewhat accurate.

    Anyways this E3 sucked.

Dread is new at least. If it was $59.99 for a switch port of Samus Returns, that would be different and I'd just wait on r/gamesale to pick it up.

Really disappointed about advanced wars. I got Metroid this year at least, and a buncha game pass games. Plenty of games still coming out this year, way more than I realized.

Where is this excitement for old games? Cause I don't really see it here on BG. Unless you mean in general?

Most of the excitement I see here is for new games lol

Bro same, in recent memory I believe we all collective shat on the frigging Links Awakening game. Damn game has like, $10 worth of content, its literally a 1:1 port of a frigging gameboy game that was running on as much storage capacity as your average 1991 digital watch for crying out loud. I can't believe they had the audacity to charge more than $30 for it and that people actually paid $60 for it.

I did, and I know there's another one this week, but just talking about the press conference and what was shown there. Also the vidoc didn't do much for me, if I'm being honest.

I'm feeling like this is the year we actually see the effects of the pandemic delaying/slowing games development in general, since shit released last year was already over the major hurdles before WFH came into effect.

    The Ratings

Some ratings are depressed due to a common thing this year: Interviews.
Fuck off with mid-presser interviews. They just bog things down. Save em' for a post show. There would have been more Bs otherwise

But yeah, not a lot amazing or exciting this year.

    Majors
Nintendo: B - Nintendo did not save e3. A lot of what they presented is stuff they've been dragging their ass on, stuff that should have been out years ago.
Microsoft + Bethesda: B for better than 2015 - MS has at least learned, show us the games, not other crap. Still need work on the how, and how much.
Sony: F - SHOW UP, MOTHERFUCKER

    Middles
Ubisoft: C- - It's Ubi. You're gonna get the same thing every year.
EA: F - No show, they have a thing scheduled for next month.
Square-Enix: D for dumbass - You're here for 40 minutes, and you blow half of it on a GotG reveal on the heels of a flop of Avengers. Then you spend ONE minute on Legend of Mana and a FF1-6 collection remaster everybody has screaming for, and give no details. FOR FUCKS SAKES. Babylon's Fall looks like ass, Stranger of Paradise has a script like ass.
Devolver Digital: B - Devolver gonna Devolver, small number of games, but what Devolver continues to pick to publish is some good stuff.
Koch: F for fuckup - They could have done SO much better. The games they have aren't bad, but they didn't SHOW them (and you could find material for the games doing a google search, so it's not like it didn't exist.) This was pmuch just the publisher contractually obligating the developer to publicly suck their Koch on screen.
Gearbox: F for fuckoff - You had nothing to show but Randy being a pest on a movie set. Goddamn waste.
Capcom: C- - Capgod looks a bit tired.
Warner Brothers: D+ - One game. A good game to be fair, and some business side stuff has resulted in WB games being in a weird state. But better to have piggybacked another show rather than try to hold your own.
Namdai Banco: D- - Again, ONE FUCKING GAME. fuck sakes.
Limited Run Games: B+ - These guys don't even get reveals, and they still manage to stand out.

    Minors
Summer Games Fest: B- - Good slate of middle and major games. Presentation was a bit lacking for it's weight though.
Day of the Devs: C - A small batch of games, but there was good gems in there.
Guerilla Collective: C - A big solid slate of games, not everything for you, but something for everyone. Hosts are a little annoying, could have got things done quicker.
Tribeca Games Showcase: C - Not may games, but good ones. But.. why are you here? These games could have fit in other presser's portfolio and improved their show.
IGN Expo: C- - Moderate amount of games, but many of them were already in other pressers. If they had pared out the repeats, it would have been a tighter show with some solid new announcements.
Wholesome Direct: B - Not for me in style, but I'll give them this, they are covering and boosting a LOT of games that nobody else is giving the time of day, and not because they aren't worthwhile.
Upload VR: C - Didn't see it because of a schedule fuckup. But again, they're covering stuff nobody else is. A bit more jank though.
PC Gaming Show: C+ - Geoff has kinda hijacked stuff they would have got without him starting SGF last year. That said, they had a good slate of fresh stuff. And Battletech everywhere will always make me happy, thus the +.
Future Games Show: C - Less annoying than Day 9, but no Battletech.
Indie Showcase: C- - This was just kinda forgettable, even with Moo Lander being fucking weird.
Freedom Games: C- - Better than Indie Showcase, but still kinda eh
Yooreka Games: C- - I, look, there are just too many mini-pressers
Gamespot Play for All: C- - Fuck, another one.
