Teaching the hard lessons.
One of those teachers did summer school with my mother in law. They really hit it off, and then out of nowhere she died from covid. MiL took it pretty bad. The lady was vax hesitant, and was dragging her feet but willing to get her vax done just barely in time for the start of school.
She waited too long.

I’m so ready to work from home again but I don’t want a shutdown again.

The air quality sucks again. Shutdown plz kthx.
Sure must be nice.
I've been WFH unless I have tasks that drag me into the office (new hardware setup or expected deliveries). I've heard we might retain WFH policies after all this covid shit is done, with only coming in for meetings with clients.
I got laid off from my local job a year ago. The new job I got is totally WFH as the nearest office is 3.5 hours away. I do have to go to client offices for in person support as needed which happens every other week or so. It has been an adjustment to be sure and still feels a little strange but it isn't terrible.
No.
ADE is a thing with other virus vaccines because of the nature of the vaccine itself and its ability to enhance uptake with a particular virus. The one in question used antibodies to go into immune cells which just happened to allow it to become more virulent. With this vaccine it does no such thing, especially with the mRNA vaccine, because the virus doesn't depend on immune cells for replication and because that's not how the vaccine works anyway.
ADE with this is bullshit and anyone peddling that nonsense needs to be put in place immediately.
I was watching my local news last night and they did a piece about going back to school, mask mandates, blah blah.. and at some meeting a hillbilly couple was holding up a cute little sign complete with drawings of a boy and girl wearing masks that read, "CHILD ABUSE!"
It got me thinking if the propaganda machine worked hard enough what else could they convince people to be abuse?
Daughter needs braces to give her a pretty smile and self confidence? Not my little girl!
Son tore a ligament in the game and has to wear a walking boot after surgery? The horror!!

I'm not sure if I would call it child abuse, but at the same time...kids are kids who come up with all kind of wild shit.
"die cis scum" girl was either a late teen or even an early adult, and she said her "die cis scum" era was nothing more than a phase.
edit: not covid thread related, but whatever, answering here anyways.
