Worked covid last night. I literally didn't piss for 13 hours. Had a guy maxed on heated high flow go completely delirious. Couldn't protect his airway, so had to try to medicate him down. Over 4 hours, gave Klonopin, Ativan, haldol, more Ativan, then finally had to just tie him up which is terrible for delirium but necessary for protecting his airway.

Then, I had a lady insist on being a full code, but refused to wear her oxygen. Then she figures out of she rups off her pulse oximeter that our alarms won't be able to notify us of hypoxia. Spent a great deal of time discussing code status and consequences of not wearing her oxygen. Then she refused to even allow me to put a pulse oximeter on her. Again, code status discussed, wanted to remain full code. I read her the riot act and told her that if she can't wear a fucking sticker on her finger then why should she expect me to save her life. I told her I'll be in another room for an hour and I'll probably walk in to find her dead. It was an absolute awful night. One of the worst of my career. I go home, log on Facebook, and see this. Fun...

I have read FMA:B manga and watched the series multiple times. You can do either. Both are amazing. Definitely a different experience reading it as you get a lot more depth in certain areas but this is one of those situations where the show is almost as good or as good as the written material.

Hung out with a friend/coworker Tues whose dad just tested positive. He lives at home and they all have a cough. I've had a nagging cough since Wednesday/Thurs. Got tested this morning and still waiting on the results. Team Pfizer so I'm hoping that shot comes thru if I pop hot.
