An inspection by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found significant sanitation and procedural problems at the East Baltimore plant that ruined 15 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Released Wednesday, the new documents shed light into Emergent BioSolutions’ continued lack of federal authorization to distribute the vaccine it’s produced. Inspectors found cleaning and sterilization failures; lack of adherence to protocols; and potential cross-contamination in multiple areas.

I can imagine the FDA warning letters & 483 Forms that are going to come crawling out of those inspections. All public record, too.

Last time my company got a 483, a director got fired immediately after the corrective actions were implemented.

I was so used to driving with my left arm out the window that I didn't even think of it when making a 5 hour drive in the middle of summer from NC to TN. Ended up with 3rd degree sunburns over my entire arm. I don't drive with my arm out the window anymore.

California Department of Public Health quietly updated state reopening guidance today stating "Fully vaccinated persons from out of state may visit or attend activities or events that are restricted to in-state visitors." These activities includes entrance into theme parks. Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, and other parks are still limiting tickets to in-state residents. But SeaWorld in San Diego today opened up ticket reservations to anyone vaccinated.
