Biden's new goal is for 70% of adults to have received at least their first shot by the 4th of July. That's 35 million more adults to get there. Currently we're administering ~900k first shots per day but that number is falling. Hopefully we'll still hit that mark in 2 months.

No one is gonna take the step to push a rigorous system of vaccine record keeping when the virus is gonna become the next flu once vaccine production truly kicks in and more of the population has a baseline level of antibodies at anytime. Hopefully mask usage, especially when you're the sick one, becomes a little more common in America and that alone almost eliminates the common cold and influenza, maybe even tonsillitis God willing. One can dream...

There is some thought that mRNA tech might actually be able to give long term vaccines against flu and even the common cold. Would be absolutely wild and amazing if we finally beat those diseases as well as a result of COVID.

Ticketmaster belongs to Live Nation, and they produce/promote entire tours, as well as hold exclusivity contracts with most of their venues. Live Nation absolutely can do whatever the fuck they want in regards to admission.

event promoters can have their own guidelines of who comes into their show and each individual event venue can also have their own guidelines of who comes into that venue.

in general things like that will come down to the venue though as the promoter wants as many human beings to come to their show as the venue will allow them to and most of those guidelines come from the city/state/province/country via fire code restrictions, liquor license capacity, etc.

They already do this at Yankee stadium requiring proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test within six hours before they can let you in to see the games. The whole process was pretty smooth and even if you're too lazy to get a rapid test the morning of they had stations set up right next to the gates.

Granted this may be a bigger pain in the ass in small market areas.

Won't hit 70% in a majority of states without mandatory shots. Probably barely 50% in some states.

I want to see some studies on natural immunity projections. Because outside of urban population centers with high uptake you're gonna be relying on it societally.

If it's really good and long lasting then you can probably coast on it and hope that by the time it wanes the pandemic has naturally burned out. At least significantly.

70% of population will be tough. 70% of adults is totally doable. By the time it's approved for 2-11 year olds the new case rate is going to be quite low.
