In short, the 0.01% of places that don't report to the registry get fucked (likely tiny clinics out in areas that don't want big government like Alpine or Lassen counties)

Oh, ok.
Is the vaccine information being submitted correctly? (I requested my own records in March and my records shows a missing Gardasil and incorrect info for a Heplisav. What if your name is mispelled, last name inverted with first name, DOB wrong etc)
Is the vaccine information being submitted at all? (Maybe for mass vaccination clinics like at Cal Expo or Dodger Stadium, major health systems and pharmacies, but what about rando pop-up walk-in clinics?)
What if your phone number isn't transmitted to CAIR? How would you be contacted?
Email address is generally not collected (no email field on my immunization report)
Sounds like a system with so many holes that even places that "require" it won't really require it.

The US State Dept. has warned Americans against travel to Japan due to a surge in Covid cases there.
Olympics are in 2 months in Tokyo
CDC - "Travelers should avoid all travel to Japan."
State - "Do not travel to Japan due to Covid-19."
The only thing from that list that was restarted was the doxy and the dexamathasone. Both appropriate. The aspirin was also a perfectly appropriate drug to prescribe in the outpatient setting, but in the hospital setting with worsening symptoms, we will move on to another anticoagulant.
And yeah, can absolutely refuse to administer a med a doctor orders. Rarely happens. Usually just call the doc and discuss the justification. "Hey, this patients BNP is 6500 and you ordered a 2 liter bolus, just want to double check that...". A lot of times it's a mistake or typo. Providers screw up order inputs all the time. Usually soft or hard stops in the EMR catches it. If it doesn't or the provider blindly overrides the warnings, the nurses usually catch it. If a doctor is adamant that the med is correct and want it given, but the nurse or staff member insists there's a safety concern, there's systems in place to move up the chain.
Nepal next to run out of covid supplies
Masks are no longer required in movie theaters as long as your fully vaccinated.
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...le-2021-05-28/AMC Entertainment (AMC.N), Cinemark (CNK.N) and Regal Cinemas (CINE.L) said on their websites that movie goers who are not fully vaccinated will be asked to continue wearing masks, and that other social-distancing measures and cleaning protocols will remain in place.
"In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are not required for guests who are fully vaccinated," AMC said on its website, referring to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "If you are not fully vaccinated, we ask that you continue to wear a mask throughout the theater unless actively enjoying food or drinks."
Umm.. so I guess no masks for anyone?
This is just turning into pure chaos at this point. The people who need to answer the most honestly are definitely the people who A) don't believe in COVID B) never wore masks in the first place or doesn't believe in masks and C) will not get vaccinated because it is a conspiracy to control us.
When it changes from "mask up to protect others who are in danger and can't protect themselves" to just "mask up for your own safety and the safety of those who don't care to protect themselves" I...don't really care?
It's gonna be interesting to see what the numbers look like in the next 3-4 weeks now that restrictions are going away all over the place. Hopefully we can keep them down
California is down to 21 deaths a day (7 day average) - that would be like 165/day nationally if everywhere was like California, which is like a medium-bad influenza year.
where are you sourcing that? NYT has our 7-day average at 43.
