I'm still waiting for my 2nd Pfizer. SDM's have Moderna, but
1-I dont want to mix, I dont like the fact were the only country saying "yeah, its ok to mix, no biggie"
2-Everyone I knew who had Moderna felt like shit for 24-72 hours after.

I actually just checked and one of the SDM's near my office has Pfizer in stock according to their site.

I'm a purebred double dose Pfizer as of 2 and a half weeks ago bay-bee

The place I went to for my 2nd shot actually had both Pfizer and Moderna and basically had it setup so that:
-If you got Pfizer the first time, you got it the 2nd time
-If you got AstraZeneca or Moderna the first time, you got Moderna the 2nd time
-If it was your first shot, you were getting Moderna

Also, at the time we were at a point in BC where we had an influx of Moderna shots and were low on Pfizer. I know plenty of people who got Pfizer the first time and Moderna the second because of that. I got lucky I guess /shrug. I would have been happy to get whatever mRNA was available

Hard to say, if they're both mRNA vaccines theoretically it would be more effective than a single dose of either.

according to ontario studies - if available you should stick to the same mRNA vaccine, but:

double pfizer is estimated to give 88% vaccine efficacy
moderna first and pfizer second is estimated to give 91-94% vaccine efficacy
pfizer first and moderna second is estimated to give 94-95% vaccine efficacy

this does not apply to 12-17 year olds, which only pfizer is recommended

i can tell you that the dosage we're receiving from moderna is 0.5 ml and pfizer is 0.3 ml so there's that too

it's probably more likely we're just cheap and don't want these vaccines to go to waste since so many people in this country got pfizer first 'cause all we had en masse to begin with was pfizer and astrazeneca
