Coming to Early Access in January 2024
SOON.
I'm ready for the goty
I'm positively surprised how this is shaping up to be a pretty great game. I was one of the people that thought this was some kind of a fever dream that would either never come out or turn out to be a scam-type game with no real value.
Yeah uhh I didn't think I'd want to enter the EA but I am getting kind of hype for it. Basically Pokemon Ark right?? Count me in.
Looks great! But needs a lot more time in the oven tbh. I'll wait to play after a few updates.

ill put up with some jank at first since it doesn't cost anything thanks to gamepass
Hopefully they take feedback to heart quickly and roll out changes. I'm hoping for an "Pokemon Ark" as someone else said, cause it kinda feels like Ark meets Pokemon from what I've seen but with better base building/automation... however it seems to be lacking in other areas. Most reviews i see praise the base building but say theres lots of room to grow more or less.
I'm hoping it keeps at it, stays good, and dodged Nintendo's lawyers.
People eating this shit game up while complaining about AI art and unity asset flips lmao my ass off
to be fair, I don’t think most people have an inherent hate for store bought assets, as long as a decent chunk of the game assets are made in house, that being said, what I’ve seen of the game so far looks pretty decent considering the trailers originally made it look kinda meh, the base building can be a bit jank if you counterintuitively try to place important structures indoors, pal pathing in the base can be easily messed up if you plop random shit everywhere, and unless this game gets regular updates like Ark did with new maps/pals and such it likely won’t maintain popularity for long.
I'm okay with store assets, not sure how I feel about AI. For a game I'm getting free on game pass anyways though? I won't feel bad about playing it in those circumstances

If you're a bit weary of the dev, this will be their third game that's in Early Access.
There is Craftopia, which has been in EA since 2020, that is much like this one. It was on Gamepass, but it left it around Oct/Nov of last year.
AI: Art Imposter, EA since November 2022, which is Jackbox with AI-generated art.
Overdungeon, was in EA in 2018 and got it's 1.0 in August 2019, a "roguelike" deck builder that most users complained was too easy for a roguelike. It was updated in August 2023 with favorable reviews.
So I bought it from you people's hype. Someone answer me this. How is this setup for single and multiplayer??
Do i get to keep same character throughout both? Or do I have to have separate characters if I play on a dedicated server or whatever? Trying to figure out how i should get started.
Also is anyone getting a BG group together?
From what I know, only the server host can carry their character into a self hosted game. Dedicated servers have their own characters separate from your single player.
Also game has already sold over a million copies. Doesn't account for people playing on game pass and I don't know if it counts people who buy from the Microsoft store.

Speaking of multiplayer, only the Steam version supports 32 player servers while Xbox and Windows Store versions have a cap of four. The reason being that the Steam version has dedicated servers.
yeah, apparently there have been some disagreements about what hosting service to use on xbox or something so you can't rent a server (yet, hopefully) which sucks
