Yeah, I do agree they should be more transparent when they notify you of being banned instead of "You violated terms of service. Blah-blah-blah". I know when DSP was losing his crap over being removed as a Twitch Partner he claims (hard to tell given how much he lies) he had to ask constantly until he got a reply saying it was due to hateful slurs.

But yeah, the entire landscape with how they handle bans/suspensions is a trainwreck. Like I said I hope some of the bigger people on YT/Twitch talking about it along with the claims of them showing favoritism (and racism which seems like a stretch) will light a fire under them for a more balanced out punishment system. Hey a man can dream, right?

Worth noting that Zepla recently evacuated Ukraine, so it could have something to do with streaming from a different country. Not trying to make excuses for Twitch or anything, just pointing out that it could be an automatic ban because most things about Twitch suck.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if streaming from that many different IP addresses triggered some kind of automatic ban. The speed with which it was reversed also supports that. The lost followers is bullshit, though. That's a hefty amount of potential income down the drain.

I wouldn't worry too much. If one is likely to subscribe monthly on the regular, then they probably have them followed on their twitter, are in their discord, or whatever. In my observation from various channels, for every person that subs individually, you're going to have someone else on average that gifts 5 monthly, too. And after a point, they just get randomized to people who visited for whatever reason. The "Welcome back!" or "Twitch sucks!" donations aren't gonna do them any disservice, either.

I don't get the being upset at the follower being deleted thing, majority of what was lost were likely old stale followers that have abanoned the site, died or lost their credentials and are following on a different account.

I've had this happen. Ended up in someone's stream due to a raid or something, didn't even follow for whatever reason (lazy or didn't care for their stream) and ended up getting a gift sub later on. Until that happened, I always thought you had to at least be a follower to have a chance at receiving a gift sub.

I'm assuming there's an algo somewhere that bases recommendations/etc based on total subs. So dropping someone by almost 200k could have an impact on how they are postured on the site and ad revenue too.

Apparently Slicker has a real bad gambling addiction and has borrowed/scammed/begged friends and viewers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and he is STILL in debt, his own mods leaked chat and discord logs to expose him and now a bunch of streamers are coming out saying how much they lent him and never got repaid.
