Asmon got popular because he was a WoW nerd who made semi decent videos way back in the day, then when Blizz started being complete shit he was calling them out on all their choices and people liked that drama drip and agreed with him. Around 5ish years ago or maybe even right around Gamer Gate he started to lean into that side and in the past 4yrs he's just made the jump from "I NEED TITTIES AND WANT TO FUCK THIS CHARACTER IN THE GAME" to just full blown right propaganda. He saw how many views he was getting when he started to stream the Trump and Biden debates and watch Trump speeches and just went for it cuz yeah, he wants that bag. The right is so fucking easy to grift so why not take advantage of it. Still a piece of shit.
