YouTube will begin estimating your age based off your viewing history and how long you've had an account. If their system deems the user is under 18, a government ID or an active credit card will need to be provided to access mature content.

You're now making me wonder what the average account age is of anyone that still regularly posts here, given the age of this site. Not that it would hold up in court any. "He had the account passed onto him!". (Granted that has happened with Twitter accounts in the past)

I've dealt with all censorship attempts on BG but at the pace they've been moving the goalpost in the past few years, I'm not sure I can keep up. Anyway, backup your NSFW Bucket images and favorite NSFW threads while you can.

The easiest would be to use some NSFW AI detection tools to purify the buckets. Otherwise, I calculated that using an age verification service with the volume of people we have here would cost $100-200 per month.

I crunched some numbers, and interestingly, 21% of BG accounts were created over 18 years ago, with an average of 12 years.

Also, if accurate, the average age shown on BG profiles is 41 years old.

If this passes, I have 20 days to comply or risk a $250,000 fine. This means either deleting all NSFW content or age-verifying everyone that uses the site.

Once images are deleted from your bucket account, it will take a few days for all the links to turn into a 404 until all the caches and such expire.
