So what you are saying is "get ready for the animal cruelty meta?"
Hot tub animal cruelty
Spoiler: show
Doubtful. Don't get me wrong, you're right, those types of content creators exist, But a streamer of Hasan's size has far more to lose than gain on Drama. As far as i know, Downloading Stream Vods doesn't generate him any income, so people scrubbing his history (Unless they do it on Youtube) isn't giving him anything, and even doing it on Youtube won't generate a buttload of money unless we're talking 10's of thousands of individual viewers, plus he's far more likely to LOSE subscribers to his Twitch if it turns out hes an animal abuser or even during the drama.
Either way, I get what you're saying, I really do as I agree it IS a meta of sorts to kind of jumpstart your career or get a temporary small boost in viewership, or even stay in the limelight a little longer... but in this scenario, I don't think Hasan sprinkled some breadcrumbs of animal abuse through his years of videos, I think thats just who he is and hes done a decent job at hiding it better until now or people were willing to dismiss it, but in this situation, he slipped up a little too hard.
Sure he can try to farm a few drama videos off it and he probably will, But I don't think its benefiting him the way you think it is, and even the accusation will lose him subscribers and income short term.
Also, yes, he does not matter, nothing matters, life is pain, the dark void takes us all, the universe will die some day, /wrists. I get it. People are social animals, we'll gossip about stuff, cheer those who we see as doing good, and sneer at those who do bad. Its just what we do to fill time.
In a few days I'll go back to forgetting who Hasan is if that makes you feel better.
I did not intend to start a debate over whether he thinks he’s playing 4d chess with this shit. My argument is that those incentives are always present, therefore anything they do or say is always suspect. Why would anyone waste their time on what such a person has to say about anything?
Also, you argue that he is more likely to be hurt by this than helped; maybe that would’ve been true in a saner era. But for every dog lover he loses he binds the true believers that much closer to him as they side against the unjust persecution of their parasocial champion. For those of you paying attention, this is precisely how we got Trump back in the White House. It used to be that only Trump exhibited this particular talent, but look around and you see it everywhere today.
I will also strongly disagree with the nihilism. There is much that is beautiful and worthy in life; you won’t find any of it on social media.
For all the posting I've done on this topic, Hasan has not seen a single cent from my clicks and engagement. I don't know why you'd assume he has

That was mocking your "NONE OF THIS MATTERS HE DOESNT MATTER" quip. Granted with dramatic flair.
Despite the craziness of the world, I think consequences still exist. You can agree to disagree but I firmly believe stuff like this causes more harm than good for a streamer of his size, at least in many of the cases I've seen and I do follow Youtuber/Twitch drama here and there. But I did clarify the point, its usually temporary, stuff often stabilizes out unless said streamer does something REAAALLY bad, I'm talking Pedo type shit.
But hell maybe you're on to something because even being a weird fking Pedo doesn't get you fully canceled if you're Dr.Diddleskids cause his audience is broadly stupid fucking kids who don't understand the severity of what a dangerous creep he is.
So now we're saying he supposedly did this on purpose for the $$ and clicks? lolMeanwhile all these people watching his videos trying to figure out if he shocks dogs are just getting him paid while he’s living rent-free in their heads. He’s just monetizing the outrage and laughing at the sheep on his way to the bank.
So just doing reverse google image search shows the E4xx and other series by ecollar, manual shows you can remove the prongs to just have vibration/sound functions and they have a vibration only version too but screen is "rounded". Cool, so still complete speculation and I give 0 shits until an ex trainer of his comes forward with proof, someone who's been to the house comes forward with proof or there's something more tangible then speculation. And in the end if he did use a shock collar on Kaya, that's shitty and.....that's it since that's also not a crime in any form and while even on a large dog I wouldn't use a shock collar myself. I watch Hasan for news shit and agree with a lot of his takes on politics and rehabilitation. Give 0 shits about his personal life outside of videos i'm watching on Youtube in the background while gaming where he talks about it usually in relation to some drama going on.
Didn't Vaush get outted for furry porn on his computer at one point? And Destiny and Tectone (along with Tectone's daddy) are rapists. Asmon out here saying police should be using live ammo on protestors if you throw a rock at them. Streaming world is all solid and full of wonderful people. But hell maybe you're on to something because even being a weird fking Pedo doesn't get you fully canceled if you're Dr.Diddleskids cause his audience is broadly stupid fucking kids who don't understand the severity of what a dangerous creep he is.
Glad to hear it, no assumptions here. As I said before, I do not keep up on the latest monetization schemes since I'm not on social media, but the whole thing is an attention economy, right? Even if clicks aren't generating direct revenue, the thought is still spent and is worth more. Some might click on people discussing the drama, some might watch reaction videos, etc - it's all generating revenue for someone. Enriching and enabling the Musks and Bezos is enough reason for me to opt out, but these influencers support entire grifter economies that only exist to extend their reach; no thank you.
Yah, lots of the largest content creators do have some brainrot takes and often double down on those, probably partially due to them being normal people given an abnormal audience (and we'd all make mistakes or say something dumb) and partially as a result of large swaths of their community always offering positive reinforcement of their takes or dismissal of criticism against them.
If you did or said something bad or stupid but had thousands of diehard, biased fans telling you you did nothing wrong and they agree, it'll create a feeling of "Always right" and thus you double down.
I know I'd not be immune from that feeling.
also I think Vaush got caught with Loli porn live on stream, after being extremely vocal about calling anyone who had Loli porn a Pedophile
my guy it's not even open to debate he 100% has and anyone arguing otherwise is just engaging from a point of very limited info if any.
that's fine, it doesn't warrant a defense of him in any way though. i like that he was a long time anti-zionist voice regardless of the often mental hypocritical somersaults it involves of him. his stances absolve him of nothing and he has more in common with pro-life politicians privately getting abortions than not.
Meresgi, this is it right here. You can still enjoy a person and their work and still acknowledge their flaws. Acknowledging their faults does not mean you have to stop enjoying their work. It doesn't even mean they're irredeemable; but how can a person improve their behavior (and stop their lies) if no one holds them accountable?
Notice how you wrote a long paragraph but never addressed him openly changing his story multiple times. What's up with that? It doesn't take a PhD to realize something is amiss when someone is changing their story or "showing proof" by briefly flashing the collar while keeping it firmly in their palm and not moving. None of this passes the smell test, and if it was a Republican you didn't like you'd be all over them.
