I'm not at all. CriticalRole is a more natural channel to subscribe to because it's effectively a TV show instead of that always-on non-stop general gameplay/just chatting channel most other streamers are.

I mean, it wasn't really a secret that popular streamers were making bank. The continued problem otherwise remains that eyeballs are finite and making it is more luck than anything.

So one of the more well known Mtg (Magic, not the dipshit person) streamers made a video about his revenue between Twitch and YouTube and it was a lot more surprising than I expected. If anyone here wants to monetize streaming and/or uploading content, I highly recommend watching the video.

Teal deer: Most of the Twitch revenue will come from subs, they pay shit for ads. Most of the YouTube revenue comes from ads. The difference is astonishing.

Twitch ad revenue for Sept - 89.64
YouTube ad revenue for the past 28 days - 25,754.86
