I will say that trying to judge whether someone is presenting their true beliefs in that medium is a fool’s game, as in only fools play it. If someone says some ‘correct’ things and some ‘incorrect’ things and the response is to call them out as misrepresenting their views, maga in secret, etc, then that means one of two things about the beholder: either they are so far to one side themselves that they literally cannot conceive of a worldview that isn’t binary (either you’re a good progressive or a maga plant, with no room for nuance); or they recognize that the pressures of the medium force people to lie, in which case, why are you paying attention to these idiots in the first place?

Either way: watching streamers? Not a good look.

Johnny Somali trial in Korea continued today. He had the balls to whine to the judge and demand a speedy trial for the one remaining deep fake charge cause he wants to go home to his family. Judge told him to shut the fuck up, we got international defendant's that have been here 6 years for just their trial.

He needs her to testify on his behalf to get the second of his deepfake charges dropped, yet he has no leverage on her like he did the other guy. He needed her to show up at this previous hearing to try to convince her to drop the charges, but since she had left for Australia and basically left the message “I have no time to waste on him” but she agreed to testify at the next available court date, which the court set for mid February.

In response Johnny tried to request for an expedited trial since he wanted to get home for Christmas lol, the judge basically looked at him and told him that they have foreigners who have been awaiting trial for 2+ years already, so he can get fucked basically.

She's at least doing SOMETHING and calling out people not doing jack shit for them being billionaires. 44 million dollars is a lot but nothing compared to even 1 billion dollars. So someone, who has fame and a platform and a couple mil, calling out Billionaires who are buying elections and sitting on wealth like dragons on gold, is you know... a-okay in my eyes.

I mean shes a millionaire in the low double digits who donated around what, 20% of her net worth to Charity? Not even close to the same level as Zuck and Bezos and Musk. Like 11 Million is a lot of money for charities but compared to 20% of Musks net worth, its nothing. 11 Million will change the lives of some few if the Charity does their job right, but If Musk donated 20% of his net worth he'd could probably end like, several poverty issues in America for generations to come. If all the Billionaires in the 100+ range came together and donated 20% of their combined net worth, its amazing to think what we could actually do to fix our problems, and I mean like, they'd still all be Billionaires in the 100+ Range after.

Like the difference in value and change to our way of life someone with 50 million can bring and someone with 500 billion is an unfathomable distance, on topic, anyone shitting on Billie is a fucking twat.

If someone is millionaire and paying a correct tax rate for that income level then I don't really care too much, if they're sitting at 500+ million...ok that's pushing it quite a bit. If you have 1 billion...just ONE. You are astronomically higher up then someone at 44million.

While I agree there is a point where you've basically won at life once your bank account passes a certain point, I'm more inclined to be tolerant of a millionaire performer than I am a CEO as, at the very least, they actually had to have a skill to get to get there whereas the others often just step on and exploit those beneath them. It's also not like the music industry isn't notorious for screwing talent, so getting rich in spite of that is also something.

But even if she did donate everything, it doesn't change the fact our system has been fucked for roughly 50 years by now and it's by no means fair to expect her to individually fix it. Yeah, billionaires should be regulated out of existence. A lot of (soft) monopolies also need broken up. Lots of anti-union laws need eradicated. A lot of things being off-shored shouldn't be. Any CEO that tries to flee the country to avoid things like this should be stripped of all assets. I'd even say heavily penalized if trying to hop states. Basically, we gotta start looking at runaway profits as unpaid wages. That's part of why the everyman doesn't give a shit about the stock market or jobs numbers being up because none of that really affects them. Wages simply haven't kept up with both the combo of productivity and "inflation". The irony of all these regular mass firings we keep hearing about is that it just turns into more people not being able to buy whatever these companies are trying to shill. People also shouldn't be firing out 100s of applications and maybe only hearing something from 5% of them. Yet that's our Murika. Fuck yeah.
