That image is definitely not the canon lineage for the Belmonts. For starters, Gabriel's set of games take place in an alternate universe, where he ends up becoming Dracula himself. The middle section is -mostly- correct though there are a bunch of mistakes. Sonia and Reinhart aren't considered canon and Leon started the clan with another unknown woman since Sara sacrificed herself to power the Vampire Killer.

Honestly pretty clueless where they intend to go with this plot. Assuming we saw Maria in there. Guillotine and other vibes might have it somewhere during the French revolution? We'll see, I guess, but hopefully it avoids some of the plodding points the original series had.

Don't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the other seasons so far. But I'll give it time, might just be missing the old cast and need time to get used to the new.

This season was a whole lot of setup in my opinion. Which to be honest is just like Season 1 of the original series. I did find all the characters likeable and there are a number of badass moments.

When they revealed Juste I was so fucking hyped. And then Alucard's badass entrance at the end was amazing.

I do wonder if theyre following the routes of the games and are going to push Rondo into Symphony at this point. They could very easily do it given that the Priest is most likely Shaft from the games and Erzabet's relationship to Dracula

I'm not so convinced it has as much as people think. The the appearance of the "Vampire Messiah" and the notion that Drac was effectively the god of vampires, I could absolutely see them using the Messiah as a jumping point for bringing him back and shifting like season 3 into SoTN. Especially given this season's villain's connection with Drac as well. Granted they're obviously not doing the every 100 years thing. I see no world where they dont adapt SoTN, one of (if not the) most popular castlevania AND video games of all time, to the series. And I just dont think SoTN works without Drac.
