Buffalo supposedly turned down Vegas's offer of Peyton Krebs (2019 17th overall, put up 5 points in 5 AHL games, 9 points in 7 games at the U-20), Reilly Smith, Nicolas Hague (6'6 2017 2nd rounder with pretty good numbers last year), and a first-rounder for Eichel...an Eichel with a literally damaged neck.

I probably dont make that trade for a healthy Eichel, but to turn that down for a literally broken Eichel...Buffalo clearly isnt serious about trading him.

There's no way that's true. Eichel would be gone if that were the case. Buffalo specifically wants at least Hague and Krebs for Eichel. There's no way that deal is true.

Either way, thats a ridiculous overpay for a potentially damaged-beyond-repair Eichel.

Oh for sure. There's no way Vegas is giving that up.

Remember that movie "Little Big League" when the guy wants traded off the team, so he pouts and whines and plays like shit. Then the kid coach comes up to him and basically says, "If you play like shit and have an attitude, no one will want you and I can't trade you." so the guy starts trying again.

I feel Eichel is that guy. IDK why he or his agent think they're in control of this situation. They may feel that Buffalo is pressured to get rid of him before his NMC kicks in. I feel that's irrelevant. If your client wants off the team that bad, he's gonna waive that NMC. Otherwise, sit in Buffalo for the next 5 years and play out your contract like you're being paid your millions of PegulaBux to do.

He went from purposely being invisible on "the shift" to being dealt to the Jets where he was just straight up invisible for a season lol

Sharks have tried to trade Kane before the game fixing allegations came out, but no bites. Main reason is a lot of the players don't want him back, and this was before the game fixing allegations came to light.

The concept that Evander Kane has so much power on the ice that he could fix games on his own is laughable. Hockey is the furthest thing from an individualist sport that the only players who could pull that off are goalies (influencing losses, not wins), generational talent skaters (and even then, that list is limited to McDavid and maybe Crosby), and the refs. Thats it.

I dont doubt he bet on hockey games, I dont doubt he bet on his own games, but having that much of an influence on wins and losses, without making it look obvious...naw fam. At some point in the last couple years, someone would have noticed Kane making some very odd decisions that would raise speculation of him trying to throw games if thats what he was doing.

He had his best P/GP of his career, some may say it was because it was a shorter season, so the grind was only 56 games instead of 82, but the season was also more compressed, so that kinda balances out. He posted his best +/- since leaving Winnipeg. He posted his 2nd best shooting percentage, since the year prior. He posted his best penalties taken / 60 in his career, so he was trying to be more disciplined and stay out the box.

Yup, when it comes to sports betting, you can bet the over/under, how many points a player will score. Nothing like say the over being 4+ goals scored, down 3-0 with less than a minute left and turn the puck over in your own zone for a score as an example of throwing a game so to speak to win on a bet.

I like that a single player involved in gambling (and you could even add the 'he's also black' tag on this if you really really wanted) and the NHL is fully and completely involved.

And yet an organization has a deeply rooted claim of sexual abuse and harassment and etc and the NHL is just like "yeah, that's none of our business. They can figure it out themselves"
