before the game and during the first period for the last preseason game at home. Covid restrictions are technically in place, but almost no mask usage. Everyone's got energy though, people are excited for the season.

Leafs finish their pre-season 5-1. The powerplay has a new look which seems to be working so far, hopefully they can continue special teams success with a more aggressive PK as well. Mitch has been much more active with shooting the puck which I really like/want to see. Sandin looks good, Dermot might lose his job to Lilijgren if he doesn't pick it up, and overall the forward acquisitions looked pretty good. Willy killing penalties sounds like a very fun time so I look forward to that. Hopefully Matthews can stay healthy this year and take another crack at 50 in 50.

And good lord the Sens look like dogshit.

Yeah that's a bummer, the guy can't catch a break. At the same time, he's certainly not irreplaceable on the team, so in that sense it's kinda inconsequential.
