Did all this on mobile, very slow but no problem executing. Got the 256gb model, since that has the same nvme storage as the top model, just less of it. Can save the ssd for the good games and micro SD for all the indie and simpler games.
The steam controller was shit, but the idea and trackpad had the beginnings of something good. If I can put windows on it anyways, then likely that means I can put game pass on it which means streaming Microsoft's library and access to my steam library. The potential is there...just hope they pull it off successfully.

"It looks like you've been attempting a lot of purchases in the last few hours. Please wait a while before trying again."
No I just want to make one purchase, please take my money.
I kind of got confirmation, it lists my transaction as pending while they process my payment.
I use paypal for all of my steam purchases, and it wants me to re-authorize...
I have only been able to get the paypal authorization page to appear once, and then it errored out once it brought me back to steam. Otherwise I have just been stuck "working" to get the cart to process.
This shit could be a real game changer for finally pulling fighting game tournaments off the increasingly shitty console standards.

Took like 30 minutes after they said they were processing my payment but I did finally get confirmation.

Does the pad look uncomfortable to anyone? I mean it'll work probably but it looks a little awkward.
All the controls being super high up does look weird, but I'm gonna assume Valve put a good amount of thought into the ergonomics.
Would actually have to hold one though before I throw down the money to make sure.
Just watched the 10 minute hands on clip. Dude was pretty forthcoming about the awkward placement of the controls taking a little getting used to.
I just realized we’re gonna get portable FF11/14.

Someone at Valve has been paying attention to recent FGC twitter drama for real lol.
Melty Blood fans simultaneously crying tears of joy.
There's been a pretty large amount of discussion about trying to make PC the standard for Strive isn't there?
Since the input lag disparity is so extreme compared to Playstation (and the PS5 actually being worse then the PS4 as well).
I know Skullgirls at Evo this year is going to be on PC
the smaller footprint of this means we can put them in the stalls instead of taking up space in the rest of the bathroom
Yea, the stark input lag difference between versions has rekindled the push for PC tournaments as the standard. Money and controller issues were always the main things that prevented the move especially now that most fighting games are releasing on consoles and PC simultaneously (rip SNK). Supply is still going to be an issue though, doesn't seem like these things will be widely available until late next year.
Lol doubt a TO is gonna start hoarding these before it's proven to solve the issues of running a large PC tournament. Personally, I'm completely fine waiting until these are more common before getting one anyway. My backlog isn't gonna decrease with it anyway cause I'm trapped in gacha hell nowadays.
