Gabe is intending to create a whole handheld PC ecosystem with this device, and hopes other PC makers create their own Decks.

Our view is, If we're doing this right, that we're going to be selling these in millions of units. And it's clearly going to be establishing a product category that ourselves and other PC manufacturers are going to be able to participate in. And that's going to have long-term benefits for us. So that's sort of the frame in which we're thinking about this.

The battery life thing is going to be my primary concern, especially if the device has a shit sleep-mode solution that kills itself within 3-4 days like a Switch does. Following that would be general load times since it's playing full fat PC games, and not something meant for a mobile device, but NVMe should solve that if the CPU can keep up.

It almost makes me wish Valve would get into the laptop market, since specs-wise, this thing kicks the shit out of a ton of laptops in Canada in that price range (after currency conversion).

I played XI with a controller, and will continue to do so once I can get one working with the game again.

I had a 1st gen PS4 controller I used on PC, worked fine. Eventually wore out.
Replaced it, but it was a revision model. For some, goddamn reason, the revision models cause XI to bug out. It's hard to describe, but it seems like a lag out caused by a shitload of phantom inputs.
So I stopped popping in to XI during the free periods.
Got a Steam controller when they went on clearance sale from Valve. Didn't have any luck getting it set up/calibrated to use the right pad as a camera control.
Hoping the PS5 controller will be a solution at this point.

I actually got the WOTG collection on 360 to play on a big screen projection TV, but mainly played on PC.
