Damn makes me want to get one when I travel again
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Dolphin devs now have their emulator running on this thing.
So far all they've done is tweet this teaser of it running F-Zero GX, though. More details later I guess. But yeah, portable gamecube/wii library ftw.

This is absolutely amazing.
All hail based Gaben!
I must have been in the back of the line, my order says it won't arrive until Q2.

Seems like there is a drifting issue with the current system. However it's something that can be fixed with a firmware update: https://twitter.com/lawrenceyang/sta...39079558926341
I hope Nintendo is taking notes.
I received mine today - woot!
edit: I need to order a dock for ethernet connection, then I will test out the games in my library and report back. I can try to answer questions? But those might have already been answered by reviewers.
Completely forgot about this until tonight. Valve released a tech demo game for the Deck/PC set in the Portal universe.

Pretty fun for what it is. But knowing Valve I doubt we'll be seeing a Portal 3.
Got mine today, and it's really nice, but it keeps tripping me out how lightweight it is. I almost want to add weight to it just to make it feel "right".
i got mine bout a week ago, thing is a joy to hold beautiful ergonomics. way better than the Switch for sure. been rolling through Yakuza 0 and Bloodstained on it, still needa set up emulation and GOG/Epic access.
GOG/Epic can be done through heroic launcher, which afaik you can just pull from Discover in desktop mode.
Emulation do either emudeck or retrodeck. Personally I prefer retrodeck since it's all one self contained program, emudeck fucking clutters the hell out of your system installing every emulator individually, but gives you extra bells and whistles like letting you give individual games their own pages in your library while in the Steam UI
Good general tip I can offer too, grab Crankshaft from Discover. It adds a plugin system to the Steam UI, which let's you do things like tweak the display saturation, add an easy option to grab Proton-GE, and also add protondb ratings for each game.
Nice, thanks for the tips!
i don't care what the other girls say about you Kran you're alright
also
on the Gamepass front there's still nothing in the works but the shitty streaming workaround ya?
Yeah unless you want to install windows you're limited to cloud stream options for game pass.
So after you complete your purchase for the deck, the account alert remains until you dismiss it?
Mine did.
