As expected, Tana taking Ibushi's place in tonight's show.
MLW is streaming their Battle Riot 3 event on Youtube for anyone that is interested. Battle Riot is basically a 40 man royal rumble but with pinfalls and submission in addition to over the top eliminations. Also features the return of Lucha Underground's Dario Cueto as Cesar Duran which is the same character under a new identity after faking his death and forming Azteca Underground as part of MLW.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the concept of MLW doing a draft when they started this "season" or whatever. Do they have it like separate where MLW and AU act as different entities most of the time?
Not really. Azteca underground is a part of MLW. There is no separate brand for them. It seems just members of the roster are assigned to one of the different factions by the draft.

Well, props to Matt cordona for having the balls to wear white for his match with Nick Gage

So, less Raw/SD and more WCW/nWo? Or is that way off too?
Anyway, Dome show just started and uh... it's floor seating only. It's just the pre-show rumble now, main card in an hour.
Ok, looks like there are some sections in the stands with people, but most of the ones that they've shown are empty.
Damn, Tana is just stupid good. That Shingo guy isn't too shabby either. That's a hell of a match on 7 hours notice. There were more people in the stands than I thought initially. They were just pretty much all on the hard cam side.
Spoiler: show
Still have no idea how Vince couldn't come up with shit for Cordona/Ryder. Post match interview, and yes, that shirt WAS white when the match started.

Zack Ryder as possibly the hottest heel in wrestling and a death match champion was surely never something anyone saw coming.
Jeff Hardy tested positive for COVID-19, will be out a couple weeks![]()
Saw the clip of the end of Cardona-Gage on Reddit last night and I definitely didn't expect him to get fucked up as much as he did. For anyone that didn't see it and is interested:

I feel like the older I get, the dumber these death matches are. Not just death matches, but I can’t even stand the Darby Allin-like ridiculous spots to injure.
I don’t know. 14 year old me loved Mick Foley but 36 year old me ain’t trying to see that shit anymore lol. Hard to explain.
Dude, there's nothing to explain about not feeling that stuff at all.
When done properly for a storyline (like with this Gage/Cardona one, or Vampiro/Pentagon back in Lucha Underground) I definitely enjoy it. But without the proper storyline support it's just not fun.
Instagram removed Braun Strowman’s IG photo for “violence and incitement”, it was a picture of him during a matching giving a big boot to Keith Lee. lmao
White man kicking a black man, what do you expect?
Yeah, only time I can really do a deathmatch is if the story fits it. Hell, I was uncomfortable as hell with how badly Eddie bled in his match with JBL, and that wasn't even a death match.
I'll still give all the props to Cordona though. Dude completely stepped out of his comfort zone, reinvented himself, and has probably the second or third hottest story in wrestling right now.
