At some point in the next two months, the US will have a 7-day average of 2100 COVID deaths per day y/n?
whatchu got BG?
ill be optimistic and say under. you’ll see spreading followed by lockdowns at universities, but they’re less at risk of death and will generally be spreading among themselves; a lot of places will have faculty that are vaccinated (a lot of students will be too)
i think most younger people being otherwise occupied and not spreading it to their elders will help slow things down possibly, idk. yes i know the k-12 thing will be not great but I think some people being vaccinated will still help
the thanksgiving/Christmas window will be interesting for travel and also a lot of initial vaccinations will have waned
I'm taking the over. New daily cases on September 1st will be double August 1st, and we're at 1300 deaths per day now, so we don't need to nearly double that to hit 2100. Fully vaxxed has only risen 3% in that timeframe.
It's fucking wild that we're seeing this many deaths still with 92% of 65+ having at least one shot though.
Fuck Delta man.
5 of our 11 vents are 45 or under.
It'll burn itself out.
COVID Will disappear by spring when it warms up again right? Wasn't that what we were promised?
I don't know what the stats are over here, but it finaly hit my congregation. We got someone in the hospital now folks, and I hope my mother in law gets the shot. She's been refusing to so far, when her DAUGHTER and my littlest brother who is married to her got the shot. So did me and 'Neko...Ugh, I hate stubborn people sometimes. I hope it doesn't take one of them dying to make them get the freaking shot folks.
But also the hospital's full too which stinks.
Under. California would need to contribute heavily to hit that number. And you're asking two separate questions. Is it the running 7-day average (we're already way over that) or deaths/day (it's at about 1140 deaths/day based on a snapshot of data from a 14-day running average)
I'm asking one question - will the 7 day average of daily deaths hit 2100 in the United States before November 1st.

100%. All these patients that are, from a practical standpoint, dead on the vent will soon start to die off.
do you mean an African or European swallow
I'm taking the over, at least in the short-term. There has to hit a point where enough people die in Red states where they learn.... right?
...Right?!!
they're taking horse dewormer, so no they'll never learn
