Seems like using standardized test scores are bad but also better than every other method for college acceptance

Shouldn't allow countless retakes though imo
They limit the number of retakes for medical licensure, but have also started gravitating away from scores. Snapshots that dictate perceived potential when the vast majority study to the test (because both testing and test prep are a huge fucking industry now) do nothing to gauge real performance.
Hospitalist friend was telling me about an MD test prep program. Said it was an auditorium of probably 500 doctors, at $2,500 each. And he does these preps a few times a year. All ran by one guy.
I did a zoom test prep for my psych np exam. Mine only cost $300. But the lady did 100 students each session, 2 sessions per week. One lady.
It's insane.
Imagine teaching a group of aspiring providers for days on days, semester after semester
And seeing some guy do test preps a few times a year and make triple your salary![]()
Bruh you already make triple my salary for now, and they're already breathing down my neck about loans I don't even come close to being able to afford to pay for right now lol
Sounds like Kuro should have gone all in on GME
Police and fire are the same thing.
Bernstein test prep fills auditoriums for weeks for every civil service exam imaginable. 1k per person, numerous sessions. Municipality police, sheriff, state police, fire, then they have promotion exams as well including sgt. Lt. Cpt. Exams. Huge money. (Yes each one is a separate prep course.)
And that's why we end up with the police we do. 18-24yr olds who did bad in high school spamming these test preps to get into a 100-150k job with the best pension and workers comp benefits in the country.
800,000 U.S dead.

I wonder when we'll hit a million.
I'm sure we will, but not sure if it'll be during the "pandemic" unless stuff really goes out of control again. That hope mostly hinges on the treatment pills being widespread and effective.
Now we get to listen how Biden had more Covid deaths then Trump, what fun.
24 hours removed from my booster (team Pfizer) and I don’t feel bad per say but it’s definitely not good. I walked across the street to hit a Pokestop and dang near winded just walking back. The first shot knocked me on my ass for 24 hours, the second one didn’t bother me at all. I guess this is the compromise.
4 confirmed cases of Megatron in DC, very good and cool.

48 hours removed from my booster and I still feel pretty shit. Mild fever, aches, tried to go to work today but only made it 3 hours before I bailed. I slept last night from like 8pm until about 9:30 am this morning so I got plenty of rest. This sucks man. The first shot side effects didn't even last this long.
my 2nd shot knocked me flat on my ass, it was awful. 3rd shot just felt like a shitty cold for about two days. it's funny how it affects folks differently.
Doesn't really change anything. Previous mandates aren't really enforced - https://twitter.com/AP/status/1470522685490925572
