If you're aiming that at me I mean... my plan for the next few days is basically just cleaning my place and watching sports, I'm more or less planning to isolate myself for the week just in case I caught it at the game.

And the 2 days I'll be at work over the 9 day period since I went to the game I'll be mostly in a room by myself outside of doing rounds outdoors or going out to smoke + every single person on my base is vaccinated. If I develop symptoms that would interfere with my ability to do my job then yeah I'll take a test, but otherwise it really serves no purpose since I'm not going to be exposing anyone else.

If Omicron really does turn out to be mild but is also infecting literally everyone, you reach a point where quarantining asymptomatic people becomes unrealistic. Otherwise you literally have no one left not in quarantine and lockdown is the only option that remains. And who's going to support a lockdown for a virus that's not causing severe disease for almost anyone at all?

Pretty much every major routine testing group, e.g. sports, are coming to grips with this. And not just in the US.

Presymptomatic yes, asymptomatic, no.

A newer study separated the two and in that study they found no asymptomatic spread at all, but ≥75% of the spread was presymptomatic:

Once was to go to a Yankee game and the other was when I was admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia instead. I think I'm doing pretty good not catching covid.

The writing is on the wall. The OSHA mandate for employers is going to the conservative 5th circuit and likely be shot down. Better to try and work with states instead of being antagonistic
