I wanted to with one of the more egregious cases this weekend. Family brought him in with worsening symptoms. Had been giving him ivermectin. He has elevated LFTs. Family refused remdesivir due to potential side effects, but insisted we continue his ivermectin.

In that instance, I just told them that ivermectin was suspected to be the cause of his liver damage and continuing its use would likely worsen it, and could lead to permanent liver damage. I then told them that I've given thousands of doses of remdesivir and never personally seen an adverse reaction, but that I have at least 5 patients with organ damage on my floor due to ivermectin use. The choice is ultimately up to the patient and that I would be counseling him on medications and potential side effects.

I think its a great idea. If the problem is the ICU is overflowing due to unvaccinated covid patients who refuse the vaccine for some dumbshit reason, let them die. Frees up the ICU beds for patients who actually needs them.

Imagine needing life correcting surgery and you cant get it because some idiot who wouldnt get the vaccine for whatever retarded reason is in the ICU. Well, you dont have to imagine it, its actually happening, yes it is.

The buzzkill of course being when you realize that even the most optimistic projection would only kill approximately 10% of them. Most of them will survive and have their beliefs reinforced.

Or, limit resources available to unvaxed covid patients. Dont tell me this isnt possible, because they're already turning away patients with non-covid related illnesses as the ICU is full.
