My father 88 yo was given the flu shot and the covid booster at the same time at the nearby pharmacy and it has caused a huge health decline. He fainted and took a serious fall as a result and had to spend the night in the hospital and hasn't been able to regain his strength a week later. I suggest separating the shots for people who are not in really good health. It has exasperated some existing health conditions.

Just start triage system them if the ICU is full. Unvaccinated that fail to breathe on their own are black tagged and resuscitation isn't attempted. Vaccinated are considered red tags and care is continued. Make all unvaccinated yellow tags until conditions worsen and then they jump to black unless the floor clears up.

People ARE being turned away because hospitals are overburdened. This isnt strawman, this is actually happening. We are no longer in the "we need to do something or our hospitals will collapse" phase, we've gone past that phase. People are being denied treatment, people are unable to be transferred to nearby hospitals because those are full, surgeries are being postponed. Something needs to be done instead of sticking to the status quo pleading "were in the pandemic of the unvaccinated, please get your vaccines, please, we cant do anything else because hippocratic oath, so please get the vaccine"...get your thumb our of your fucking ass and DO SOMETHING.

Second of all there is a problem with having to "deny" the medical services, but the problem is staffing and capacity and NOT unvaccinated COVID patients.

Third of all if we have to turn people away we're not denying services, we cannot provide them.

If you have a marketplace for healthcare and there is more demand than supply then what you have is an allocation problem. You are arguing for First Come First Served, presumably because it is a facially unbiased allocation mechanism.

Now, if you work at a large hospital, keeping capacity to treat anticipated acute incidents even though you have a COVID patient that could fill the bed probably saves more lives on net. The Hippocratic oath doesn't give guidance here, but doctors also don't teach each others' sons free of charge, refuse to be party to abortions, and refuse to do surgery.

If you want to argue for FCFS, the rationale is political/policy and not morality imo
