Two teens get in a fight at the mall. Police tackle and cuff the black teen while the white teen is simply made to sit on a couch. Also the fight started because the white teen was bullying someone and the black teen intervened.

A Minneapolis, MN park officer resigns after a victim receives a settlement for an incident the officer was involved in. The incident, he pulled his gun on her after he noticed a conceal carry permit in her purse, not a gun, just the permit.

On July 12th, 2019, as Hodge delivered food in northeast Minneapolis, she prepared herself for a routine traffic stop when she saw red and blue flashing lights in her rearview mirror.

Police body camera footage shows Minneapolis Park Police Officer Calvin Pham explaining that he pulled Hodge over because her phone was in her hand and she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt.

But sixty seconds after approaching Hodge’s car, Officer Pham suddenly pulled his gun out of his holster and ordered the 42-year-old woman out of the car.

In the body camera footage, which led to a six-figure settlement late last year, it is not clear why Pham pulled his gun.

The officer later wrote in his incident report that he believed “Jenice may have a gun” after he noticed a permit to carry card in her wallet. But Pham never wrote in his report that he saw a gun.

Aren't there clear instructions on both the police's part and the permit carriers part when they interact? Shouldn't the police be trained and ready to encounter conceal carry permit holders in this country since that is so common? On the other hand a 6 figure settlement just because he drew his gun? I should have sued the police when I got pulled over one time and had two cops pull their guns on me because they thought I was high with no probable cause. One cop on either side of my car with their side arms drawn.

MN officers, at the time, had been trained to perceive anyone and everyone as a threat.
