Well color me surprised Tesla found a workaround for the lack of standardized chips. Still that drip of semiconductors/chips makes 2022 risky to hit production numbers.
Tesla also had a great earnings report, this compounded that.
So much better when a few PR huckster oligarchs control an arbitrary digital line than the government.

Other than the fact that it's mainly right-wing fascist racists and apocolypto libertarians pushing crypto it is utterly telling that the very first gaming companies to embrace crypto/NFTs are:
Mob gambling front Konami, loot box gambling front Ubisoft, as well as legendary liar Peter Molyneux. All we want are to play quality games that are sold as completed projects with no gimmicks DLC and cash-shop trash why is it so hard for them.

Sega & SE (as has been well discussed in the SE thread) are on their way to embrace NFT's as well. EA has spoken about it, but hasn't offered anything past that.

Someone pointed out, SE's New Year's letter always has a "we're embracing tech fad of the week" segment then they never do anything with it. Seems more a "we hear you investors!" statement than anything.
So this thing along with her husband were arrested today for laundering billions in crypto. It's one of a few highly notable arrests recently for crypto related schemes.

Not sure how many of you follow ParlerTakes (now PatriotTakes) but they're an account that shares some of the craziest right-wing social media posts to expose them to the mainstream. Prior to and during the Jan 6 insurrection they were a main source to showcase just how threatening the propoganda over on Parler was becoming culminating in a deadly attack. After that they made a new account that could broaden their brand to anything right-wing 'patriot" related and so created PatriotTakes. The old ParlerTakes account still existed but was out of use. Now suddenly today that ParlerTakes Twitter account ID turned into an NFT promoting handle and it's unclear if it was hacked or what the deal is.

So fucking sick of crypto bots and pretentious ads for their scam, this shit can't be squashed fast enough IMO. The EU is sick of it too and announced they're working to ban them.

https://twitter.com/concodanomics/st...BV0cGxTXrZr29gThe final draft of the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, the much-anticipated package of cryptocurrency regulations, includes a provision forbidding the “environmentally unsustainable” consensus mechanism.
This means that Bitcoin could become illegal within the European Union starting from Jan. 1, 2025.
Businesses would be prohibited from offering any services associated with proof-of-work cryptocurrencies.
Surprise! Another crypto scam. Founders of Bitmex plead guilty to violating the Banking Secrecy Act. Also that one guy from the TV show the OC is apparently intelligent enough to understand that crypto is a scam.

https://twitter.com/ben_mckenzie/sta...13sp-PXm3_G24gArthur Hayes and BENJAMIN DELO, founders and executives of purportedly “off-shore” cryptocurrency derivatives exchange the Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange or “BitMEX,” pled guilty today to violating the Bank Secrecy Act (the “BSA”) by willfully failing to establish, implement, and maintain an anti-money laundering (“AML”) program at BitMEX. Under the terms of their respective plea agreements, HAYES and DELO each agreed to separately pay a $10 million criminal fine representing pecuniary gain derived from the offense. HAYES and DELO pled guilty today before U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl.
