I've honestly been pleasantly surprised with him here. The talent is obviously there, and he's stayed out of trouble. Last night was Kaprizov hitting Yamamoto, so Kane came over and gave Kaprizov a shot. Of course you go anywhere near a star and all hell will break loose. Hartman was the 4th or 5th guy in, and came jumping into the pile.
Pretty sure if the refs would've let him go Hartman would've been Matt Cooke v2.0'd

The problem was the high risk of drama. However, it now seems the crux of the drama was his batshit crazy wife.

P much. The previous game vs the Avs, it was a victory to only lose 3-0 playing Maatta + 5 AHLers on the blue line. This loss was more in line with expectations.

Boston's loss to the Sens tonight also puts them 7 back of the Leafs with 8 games to play. I think the best they can realistically hope for now is 3rd.

This makes me very sad. Makes me realize how fast life moves by you. I grew up watching the Habs dynasty followed by the Islanders dynasty.


Mike Bossy...Clark Gillies. Two giants of the NHL to be lost and lost already. I loved the way the Islander team was constructed. They could beat you with skill and beat you with their fists. They don't get the type of historical respect they deserve. Especially Mike Bossy. Mike Bossy was the greatest goal scorer I've ever seen in my lifetime.

The closest thing might be Ovechkin, but Bossy could score from anywhere and at any distance. Nine straight seasons of 50 or more goals (and five of those he scored 60 or more) before slumping in his injury-riddled final season when he only scored 38. Altogether Bossy scored 573 goals in ten seasons. When Ovechkin completed his 10th season, he had scored 475. That Bossy was able to score so often despite the goon tactics used to defend him says to me he is the greatest natural goal scorer I've ever seen.
