Refs just gave Allen a 2 minute delay of game for removing his helmet when a strap fell off after taking a shot to the head. This is after Montreal was already on the PK killing off two penalties in a row with 7 seconds of 5v3. The penalty gave Carolina another 50ish seconds of 5v3

I think the rulebook says it has to be shaken off, not removed with your hand. Which is idiotic.

Bunting cross-checked in the back of the head, Holl checked in the head while he was down on the ice by Stastny, PLD throwing he knee around, about 10 penalties by both teams in the span of 45 seconds with 0 calls. And then they throw out Simmonds and Lowry with Game Misconducts just because they were beside each other on the faceoff. lol.

Yeah, just checked the rules, and by letter of the law, the refs did call it properly. Although he didnt purposefully remove it to secure a stoppage in play. He tried fixing it twice, made a save, then when the puck was in a non-threatening area he removed his mask cause something didnt feel right (one of the straps being off). Before anyone says "well the helmet was still on, he would be fine", 4 months ago he suffered a concussion due to contact to the back of his head from Larkin driving the net (and Petry helping him in).


If only they called the rulebook properly all year long.

Yeah he could Obs but he's cocky so you know it's gonna be flashy. They pulled the goalie after that one. Managed to snap the 11 game losing streak. Was starting to think we wouldn't win another game the rest of the season. Just hope Troy Terry isn't hurt after getting jumped by Jay Beagle.

I disagree. If he's not good enough to play for the Flyers of all teams, he shouldn't be getting to inflate a record he already had a lot of lenience and help breaking (he was scratched in the playoffs when games actually mattered), at the expense of other players that are actually good/fighting for contracts.
